FIFL Experience: After a productive season
in 1999 where he helped lead Black Hills to a Championship,
injured most of 2000 and 2001 season. Earned a ring in 2000
as well, though he was out with injury. Returned as WR2 from
2002 to 2004 where he excelled as a punt returner. Had a career
best season in catches and yards in 2005 when he moved to
WR1. Holds the record for the longest recetion in FIFL history,
a 99-yarder from QB Mike Armour. In 15 career playoff games,
Pingel has 49 catches for 502 yards (10.2) with 3 touchdowns.
Professional Experience: After college,
Pingel played professionally in 2000 for the now-defunct Indoor
Football League for Black Hills before spending six weeks
in the training camp of the NFL Buffalo Bills. He saw action
in the fourth quarter of the Bills-Rams preseason game. He
spent the 2001 season playing in the German Football League.
College Experience: Pingel was a quarterback
at St. Vincent before making a position switch to wide receiver
early in his college career. His four-year college statistics
led him to seven NCAA all-division receiving records, including
career yards (6,108), receiving touchdowns (75) and receptions
per game (13.60). He passed Rice's previous mark of 301 receptions
with a total of 436.
Personal: Serves as offensive coordinator
at Westminster (MO).
