FIFL Experience: 2005 FIFL Rookie of
the Year. Named 2010 Defensive Player of the Year, and 2010
and 2011 American Conference Defensive Player of the Year.
Named Defensive Player of the Game 11 times in his career,
and twice named Defensive Player of the Week (2010.10 and
2011.08).
Professional Experience: With the Chicago
Bears in 2003 but released in training camp... Signed to a
2-year contract with the Chicago Rush on 11/20/03, but cut
prior to season start. Signed by the Peoria Pirates on 2/19/04.
College: Urlacher spent three seasons
at Lake Forest College, playing both linebacker and running
back during his career. A three-time First-Team All-Midwest
Conference selection, Urlacher was voted the team’s MVP after
each of his three seasons, recording 358 tackles, five sacks
and three interceptions in his career. During his 2002 senior
season, Urlacher garnered the Midwest Conference’s Defensive
Player of the Year award after leading the league in tackles
(117) for the second consecutive year. In addition, Urlacher
saw significant action on the offensive side of the ball in
2002, rushing 41 times for 213 yards and eight touchdowns.
.... Pre-LFC Collegiate Career : Attended New Mexico Military
Institute for two years, playing one season and red-shirting
another.
Personal: Brother
of Chicago Bear LB Brian Urlacher... First Team All-State
selection as a senior…Second Team pick as a junior…a two-time
First Team All-District selection…helped LHS to a 14-0 record
and State 3A championship as a junior…served as team captain
during his senior season…played for Speedy Faith…also ran
track and played baseball and basketball.
