All is Good in the FIFL

Post by Mike »

All is good with FIFL
As the commish is back
MIS’s offence is so strong
With Morris as halfback

The Division of Death
Is still entertaining
HON, BIL, CON and Portland
Giving each other a maiming!

Last year’s champions are weak
Even with Chukuma and McFadden
At .500 or less
Both teams need John Madden

WR Sloth and Theus are kicking ass
But their teams are not winning
Their rush D is so bad
I can’t find anything to rhyme for it!

Black Hills is strong this year
In offence they are number three
But that didn’t help them
As LOU ate up their pass D!

Mobile faithful are wondering
If this is their turn
But maybe against LOU, BLK, STV and TEN
They will feel a sharp burn

Steel Valley is sharp
Madison is gaining
But Connecticut is confusing as hell
At least Rob Gordy’s still gaming!

Who knows what will happen
In the upcoming weeks
Big trade or an upset
To interest us FIFL geeks

Will QB Shon King
Be Rookie of the Year
Or will he drop the ball
As MIS and TEN’s D spreads fear

Will HB Cates carry his team
To Thunderbolt glory
Or will Billings’ GM
Realize his PPPs tell a bad story

Will Portland’s ageless wonders
Win one….more….ring...
Or will March, Copeland and Higgs
Decide retirement’s the thing

Will LOU’s who-needs-defence
Approach win the day
Hanlon will need WR Shakes
To make many a play

Will Fargo and Wichita
Surprise us all
And make the bigger teams
Stumble and fall

WCH has two matchups each
Against COL and Portland
FGO can beat many great teams
If their pass D makes a stand

And who can forget
The HON-FWS fight
Each GM is ready
To give the other a slight

LOU and HON went at it
For quite awhile
But nothing can compare
To HON-FWS fight style

HON lost the Fugu Bowl
Yes, his team did blow
But maybe a championship rematch
Will see HON lay Fort Wayne low

It will take a resurgence
Of Hurricane HB Jon Hall
Without his heroics
HON is behind the 8-ball

HON makes good moves
But they are never that great
Kevin might make another move
But I think it’s too late

Mike (FWS) is always ready
To call Kevin (HON) a knob
But Kevin can always say
At least I have a job!

Very nice! A nice entertaining break from an otherwise boring work day.

Read this when it was first posted...just now getting around to posting a reply. This is an instant classic!

And, when can we expect the rhyming preview or game recap in haiku? :D
