Raiders look to set records

Post by pjohns »

P Todd Latourette became the 2nd all time leading punter in yardage with 47,177. He now trails only leader Tripp Pignetti with 48,502

Pignetti was 2 years older than Latourette when he retired so if Todd continues playing he has a great chance to beat the record and possibly hit the magical 50k mark.

In other all time stats, WR Rob Mager now has 8 consecutive 1000 yard seasons and is 11th all time. Another 1000 yard season next year and he'll hit the top 10 WR's in yardage.

If Mager plays another 5 seasons and averages 1000 yards he will have 15,000 yards and be 3rd all time. He might not beat the all time mark by the incredible Russell Copeland but so far 8 1000 yard seasons in all his 8 years in the league is impressive.

Finally veteran LB Shan Housekeeper has had a great year, Housekeeper has 995 tackles and hopes to make 5 or more in the season finale against Pittsburgh. He currently ranks 5th all time and is only in his 12th season. If he plays 14 years like S Wayne Wade or 15 like Casey Urlacher he'll smash the all time tackle mark for sure.
