Pittsburgh Gladiators: American Conference Dynasty

Post by Mike »

The Pittsburgh Gladiators, not overpowering, but pretty damn good, are arguably an American Conference Dynasty:

2017: 11-3 Took out CON, then TEN in playoffs. Won Handily vs. WCH in Gold Cup.

2018: 9-5 Took out CHE, then the Mighty Fort Wayne Safari. Lost to SPR by 9 points in Gold Cup.

2019: 9-5. Took out CHE then the incredibly-lucky-to-be-there-probably-won't-do-that-again Battle Creek 'Lucky' Crunch. Lost to MIN by one point in Gold Cup.

Put it this way, the last non-PIT team to represent the Conference was Fort Wayne. Seems like eons ago...Fort Wayne has changed a lot since then and while it has some good spots is soul-searching at 0-2. Yes, PIT is not dominating, but that might reflect the competitiveness of the league.

2020? Well 1-1 so far. Non-divisional games: vs POR, vs TEN, @FWS, @BAT. HB Bam Morris is only at 4.0, not his career-average 4.5....will he not be the best ever as some have labelled him? What I want to know is how can Morris play for 5 years in the NFL, 9 in FIFL, and 2 on his jailhouse football team and still be this good at his age?????
