Fort Wayne (AP) The struggling Safari managed to pull together two wins. Just like Palawski threw a pick on the 1yd line vs GBY, Ray dropped the ball when the QB terror DE Forney caused and recovered a fumble by Ray. Just like Palawski's turnover on the 1 yard line Offensive Coordinator Nick Valleydrew threw a temper tantrum, knocking over the Gatorade on the sideline.

Yet, the Safari prevailed 24-21.

A rash of injuries might have changed the chemistry of this team. Team-leading sacker Bell is seriously injured for the next few weeks. HB Beane was given the start one game but is also out. G Neal and LB Harrison, starters at the beginning of the year, are also out for a few weeks. The Safari are starting rookie 2nd rounder DT Gilyard, who had two stops in the CHE backfield, HB Jones, a former 2nd rounder, has had some good luck, and is starting. OL Cameron Stephenson and LB Staggs, a young late second-rounder, are also stepping up.

Fort Wayne is 3-5, and plays the following teams
PIT (4-4)
CON (6-2)
MIN (6-2)
BAT (1-7)
LEX (3-5)
TEN (6-2)

Fans are hoping for a playoff spot, but the odds are against them.
