2. Tennessee (5-2) : comments coming soon

3. Springfield (6-1) : comments coming soon

4. Fort Wayne (5-2) : comments coming soon

5. Honolulu (4-3) : Hurricanes don't make the playoffs...AGAIN!!!

6. Rochester (4-3) : comments coming soon

7. Chesapeake (4-3) : comments coming soon

8. Peoria (3-4) : comments coming soon

9. Colorado (3-4) : comments coming soon

10. Portland (3-4) : comments coming soon

Offensive Player of the Midseason
Minnesota HB Jegil Duggers – The former Fire Dog and Prowler is making his mark with his third team in Minnesota. Duggers leads the league in rushing yards and TDs, and has 15 total touchdowns and over 1050 total yards from scrimmage.

While Safari HB Lincoln Coleman leads the FIFL in total yards from scrimmage with over 1200 yards, the Fighting Pike star has 7 more touchdowns than the productive veteran from Fort Wayne.

Defensive Player of the Midseason
Tennessee LB Tito Hannah – 43 tackles, 10 sacks (#1 in FIFL) and 1 INT. The perennial strength of the Riverhawks defense is their linebacking corps and Hannah is emerging from the shadow of other Tennessee greats like Earl Biddy and Bart Admundson.

Note: 3 out of the top 5 sack leaders through Week 7 are linebackers.

Special Teams Player of the Midseason
Fort Wayne Kicker Mike Vanderjagt – 84.2% success rate on field goals with a long of 51 yards and leads the league in scoring by kickers with 66 total points (18 XP + 16 FG). At this point, we’re going to overlook the 2 missed PATs.

Honorable Mention: Chesapeake PR Rashied Davis – leads the league in punt return average (21.7 yards) and has 2 returns for touchdowns thus far in the 2016 season.

Next week
The Raiders travel to Fort Wayne for a key matchup in the American Conference that could have an impact on the playoffs later down the road. Lexington will be fired up as always against division opponent and current leader Tennessee. The Blizzard comes to Wichita for a division battle. The Gladiators visit the Tide and look to get back into the division race with a victory.

Game of the Week:
Minnesota @ Honolulu – The Fighting Pike will attempt to keep their undefeated season in tact against the #1 ranked overall defense of the Hurricanes. However, Honolulu will not have an easy task as Minnesota has the #1 defense against the run through 7 games, allowing only 56 yards per game.
