Playoff picture after week 12:

NATIONAL CONFERENCE

1. Springfield (11-1) has locked up their division and the #1 conference seed.

2. Portland (8-4) has locked up a playoff spot, and can win their division
with either a win or tie OR a loss or tie by Honolulu.

3. Wichita (8-4) has locked up a wildcard spot.

4. Honolulu, Minnesota, and Peoria (tied at 6-6) are vying for
the remaining spot.
  • Honolulu can win their division with two wins AND two Portland losses;
    regarding wild card possibilities, definitely need help:
    currently lead Peoria in tie-breakers slightly (4th break,strength of
    victory, but Peoria could shift that balance with a win over Portland);
    would lose to Minnesota in tie-breakers (1st break, head-to-head).

    Minnesota needs either a win or tie by Portland or a loss or tie
    by Honolulu to remain alive for a playoff spot;
    holds the tie-breakers against both Honolulu and Peoria,
    both via 1st break, head-to-head.

    Peoria needs the most help, starting with a win or tie by Portland
    or a loss or tie by Honolulu; while a win over Portland in their final
    week might tip the balance in a tie-break vs. Honolulu, they would lose
    a tie-break to Minnesota (1st break, head-to-head).
5. Colorado (4-8), Green Bay (4-8), and Everett (3-9) have all been
eliminated from contention.

AMERICAN CONFERENCE

1. Tennessee (7-5) has locked up their division and the #2 conference spot.

2. Pittsburgh (9-3) has locked up a playoff spot, and can win their division
and secure the #1 conference seed with either a win, OR a loss by Chesapeake, OR
a tie by both teams.

3. Chesapeake (8-4) has locked up a playoff spot, and can win their division
and secure the #1 conference seed with either two wins AND either two losses
or a tie and loss by Pittsburgh, OR with a tie against Connecticut coupled
with a Pittsburgh loss this week, followed by defeating Pittburgh week 14.

4. Albany (7-5) can lock up the remaining spot with a win or tie vs.Connecticut week 14
OR with a win this week coupled with a Connecticut loss.

5. Connecticut (6-6) can take the remaining spot either by winning its last
two games, or by beating Albany week 14 combined with a loss by Albany this
week to Tennessee.

6. Battle Creek (5-7), Fort Wayne (4-8), Rochester (4-8), and Lexington (2-10)
have all been eliminated from contention.

    I would like to thank the rest of the American Central for falling flat on their faces and allowing an underachieving Tennessee Riverhawks team to cruise to another division championship.
