HON (AP)- The Hurricanes surprised the league by starting Woody Dantzler in week 3. As it was a non-divisional road game, criticism was muted. Dantler was 13th in rushing for the week, 18 carries for 59 yards and a TD, longest run of 20 yards. While this was greater than HB Paris Moore and HB Cates (59 yards 0 TD), Dantzler did look like a rookie in one respect:
"Honolulu's QB1 #12 Mike Perez gives to HB1 #21 Woody Dantzler. Dantzler runs
for a short gain. Dantzler fumbles the ball. The ball is recovered by
Peoria's DE2 #68 Carlos Chester"
Five plays later, PEO scored the winning TD.
Looks like Old Faithful HB John Hall might get the ball this week. Honolulu was happy to see Dantzler get on the field, work off the hype of his signing by scoring a TD, and show he can play in this league. But, ROTY is probably going to be out of reach, as Hall was the #2 rushing back last year, and Battle Creek's WR Eddie Brown had his first 100 yard game this week against CON. Clearly, there is a better Rb on HON's team, and a better WR on Battle Creek's team at the moment, but BAT has decided to go with the rookie, so Brown's sheer number of opportunities could bring him the ROTY.
What other ROTY candidated are out there?

CON DE White - 15 tackles and 3 sacks after 8 weeks. Not pro bowl numbers or anything, but at least could be in the ROTY mix.Mike wrote: What other ROTY candidated are out there?
