Hello, the current Canadian election involves a debate on a new hockey arena in Quebec City. The city used to have a team, but it moved to Colorado for a bigger stadium and more revenue. Now, the city of Quebec, and the province of Quebec are paying $400million for a new NHL-style arena. But, this is based on speculation that the NHL will bring a franchise there (Atlanta, Phoenix are in bad shape financially). Commissioner Bettman said 'don't build an arena based on Quebec getting a team".
In the election, the Conservatives said 'non' to funding, while the Liberals said 'oui'.
